What are Workflows?
Workflows are the step-by-step Tasks that you company uses to process Leads and Orders from start to finish. Lucro enables you to build your own bespoke Workflows to tell the CRM system and persons who will be using it in your company all of the tasks that they need to complete and equally, the order in which they must be completed.
An example of a Lead Workflow will start for instance with the Task “Enquiry received” and end with the Task “Order Completed” and depending on how your company works and the product / services being sold, can contain as few or as many Tasks in-between.
Don’t worry - there is no right or wrong Workflow as each business works differently, although many Tasks such as for example “Customer decision” and “Payment taken” are naturally very common.
We highly recommend you watch this Video which covers everything you need to know about Workflows and is a great reference resource.
What do I need workflows for?
Workflows are needed to be defined only if you wish to use either the Lead &/or Order features of Lucro. If you don’t want to use either the Lead or Order areas of the system then you don’t need to use Workflows at all. Instead, you can just use Lucro to store all your Customer data and log all correspondence via the Activities tab.
Do I need more than one Workflow?
The number of Workflows you will need to add is totally dependent on your business, the range of products and services you offer and also if you wish to use both the Lead and Order features.
For example, if you only sold 1 product / service and you process all leads in exactly the same way, then you will only need one Lead Workflow. Conversely, if you sold say 10 products / services and each sales process involved different Tasks, then you would be best having 10 different Workflows – one for each different product / service.
Don’t worry however, as Lucro has a very handy “Copy” feature so you can duplicate one Workflow many times and just change the distinct Tasks which vary for each product / service rather than having to rebuild each new Workflow from scratch.
